Terms and Conditions of SCB Rewards Program
  1. Definitions
    1. 1.1 “Bank” means The Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited
    2. 1.2 “Card-member” means a member of any credit card issued by the Bank except for a member of SCB Family Plus Credit Card, and a member of any other credit cards as prescribed by the Bank.
    3. 1.3 “Credit Cards” means all types of credit card issued by the Bank except for SCB Family Plus Credit Card, and any other credit cards as prescribed by the Bank.
    4. 1.4 “Service Provider” means a manufacturer and/or distributor and/or the product owner and/or owner of the places at which the services are provided, all of which directly related to the rewards specified in the catalog pursuant to SCB Rewards Program which the Card-member is entitled to redeem such rewards in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the Bank.
  2. Calculation and Notification of Rewards Points Accumulation
    1. 2.1 The Calculation of SCB Rewards point shall be as prescribed by the Bank for each type of Credit Card.
    2. 2.2 The Card-member will automatically receive SCB Rewards Point via domestic and/or overseas use of Credit Card for payments for goods and/or services. The Card-member will not receive SCB Rewards Point in the case of cash advance, cash advance fee, Call for Dee Jung, Dee Jung Transfer, utility payment (electricity, water) , purchase of funds, use of Credit Card for commercial/business purpose, transfer of money into Credit Card account which results in increasing credit line amount so that such credit line amount exceeds the credit line amount as prescribed by the Bank, entry and annual fee, other fees, penalty fee, interest and any of additional payment pursuant to Clause 3.1.1(2) and any other cases as prescribed by the Bank on a case by case basis.
    3. 2.3 The Card-member who will receive SCB Rewards Point must be a Card-member whose status remains valid and normal with a good payment record and without default in payment pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Bank and without breach and/or violation of any regulation and/or condition for being the Card-member until the time the accumulated SCB Rewards Point is obtained. In this regard, the Bank shall have the right to reclaim the accumulated SCB Rewards Point if it is found later that the qualification of the Card-member is not valid.
    4. 2.4 The accumulated point under SCB Rewards Program has no expiration, should there be any change to the validity period of the accumulated SCB Rewards Point, the Bank will inform the Card-member in advance.
    5. 2.5 The Bank will calculate the Card-member’s SCB Rewards Point obtained in each month in accordance with the total amount of payments for which each of the Credit Card is charged in respect of each transaction pursuant to each cycle the statement of use of each Credit Card is issued to the Card-member.
    6. 2.6 The Card-member will be informed of its monthly points of SCB Rewards Point obtained as shown in each of the statement and such points earning can also be checked through telephone call at SCB Call Center, number 02-777-7777.
  3. Redemption for SCB Rewards Merchandise
    1. 3.1 Terms and Conditions for General Merchandise Redemption:
      1. 3.1.1 The Card-member can redeem its SCB Rewards points for merchandise by either of 2 methods:
        1. (1) Redemption for merchandise by using the accumulated SCB Rewards Point, as prescribed by the Bank for redemption of each item of merchandise, solely; or
        2. (2) Redemption for merchandise by using parts of the accumulated SCB Rewards Point together with additional payment as prescribed by the Bank for redemption of each item of merchandise. In this regard, the Bank will charge such additional payment via the Card-member’s Credit Card and will notify such additional payment charged in the Credit Card statement and the Bank reserves its right not to calculate such additional payment as SCB Rewards Point.
      2. 3.1.2 Both primary and supplementary Card-member are entitled to redeem for the merchandise pursuant to the SCB Rewards Program by using the SCB Rewards Point in its own Credit Card except for the Card-member of the primary Credit Card which can use the SCB Rewards Point in any of supplementary Credit Card issued under its own primary Credit Card. In this regard, the combination of the points of primary Credit Card and/or supplementary Credit Card shall be in accordance with the conditions specified in Clause 3.1.5.
      3. 3.1.3 The Bank reserves its rights to accept the redemption made by the Card-member whose status, as of the redemption date, remains valid without overdue of the payment of the outstanding balance. Should the Credit Card have been refused to be renewed or / there be no existence of the Credit Card but the points of such Credit Card still remain, the Bank reserves its rights not to allow the merchandise redemption in any event or for whatever reasons.
      4. 3.1.4 To redeem SCB Rewards Point for any merchandise pursuant to the SCB Rewards program, the Card-member is entitled to choose one of the following 3 methods:
        1. 3.1.4.1 Redemption through the Banks customer service officer contact number 02-777-7777.
        2. 3.1.4.2 Redemption through the Banks automatic telephone system contact number 02-777-7777 (24 hours everyday) and follow the instructions.
        3. 3.1.4.3 Redemption through SCB Easy Net on-line service.
        4. The merchandise redemption under the methods above shall be deemed valid only in the event that the Bank is in receipt of accurate and complete information and the Bank accepts such redemption. In this regard, the Card member shall not be entitled to change or cancel such redemption after the redemption transaction is completed via the system.The combination of SCB Rewards points among Credit Cards for redemption of merchandise:
      5. 3.1.5 A combination of SCB Rewards points among Credit Cards for redemption of merchandise:
        1. 3.1.5.1 Combination between the primary Credit Card and supplementary Credit Card; only the Card-member holding the primary Credit Card is entitled to combine SCB Rewards Point for merchandise pursuant to the SCB Rewards Program and to combine SCB Rewards Point obtained from each supplementary Credit Card with that obtained from primary Credit Card for redemption purpose.
        2. 3.1.5.2 Combination among several primary Credit Cards; the Card-member is entitled to combine the points of not more than 3 primary Credit Cards for redemption for merchandise. The Card-member who holds such 3 Credit Cards must also have the same surname. In this regard, the Card-member holding more than one primary Credit Card may combine SCB Rewards Point obtained from each primary Credit Card for redemption purpose as well.
        3.         The combination of SCB Rewards Point among the above-mentioned Credit Card must be subject to the manner and condition of each Credit Card that whether the SCB Rewards Point are allowed to be combined with those of the Credit Card, or not. For SCB Travel Credit Card, SCB Rewards Point cannot be combined or transferred to other SCB Credit Card.
      6. 3.1.6 The Bank reserves its right to refuse any request for change or cancel of merchandise redemption after the Bank has received the information in respect of such merchandise redemption from the Card-member.
      7. 3.1.7 Should there be any Card-member wishing to redeem for merchandise prior to a cancellation or termination of the relevant Credit Card, such Card-member must express its intention to redeem the merchandise to the Bank at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date of such Credit Card. In this regard, the Card-members right of redemption shall be limited to the method under Clause 3.1.1(1) only.
      8. 3.1.8 SCB Rewards Point shall not be changed and/or exchanged for cash and/or transferred and/or assigned to other Card-member.
      9. 3.1.9 To redeem for the annual fee of any type of a Credit Card, the Card-member must exercise its redemption right at least 1 month prior to the date on which the relevant Credit Card annual fee is due for payment, so that the SCB Rewards Point may then be used as such annual fee payment.
      10. 3.1.10 To redeem for the air-ticket, tour package, hotel voucher and the mileage under Royal Orchid Plus Program, the Card-member must comply with the terms and conditions specifically prescribed by the Bank for redemption of such types of rewards in addition to the general terms and conditions for general redemption.
    2. 3.2 Additional terms and conditions of Redemption for the air-ticket, tour package, and hotel voucher.
      1. 3.2.1 The Card-member itself must contact the relevant Service Provider directly for reservation in advance and shall comply with the terms and conditions of the travel and/or service provided by the Service Provider.. In addition, any rewards of the air-ticket, tour package and hotel voucher under the SCB Rewards Program shall not include any travel insurances, airport taxes, fuel costs, fees, costs and expenses or fees applied for visa and/or passport.
      2. 3.2.2 The Bank reserves its right not to refund SCB Rewards Point and/or any monetary payment to the Card-member in the event that the Card-member cancels the travel after the air-ticket or tour package or hotel voucher has been issued in accordance with the request of such Card-member.
    3. 3.3 Terms and Conditions for Mileage Exchange (Frequent Flyer Program)
      1. 3.3.1 The Card-member who wishes to redeem SCB Rewards Point for mileage must first join or be a member of the applicable Frequent Flyer Program.
      2. 3.3.2 After the SCB Rewards points have already been redeemed for mileage under Frequent Flyer Program, the Bank reserves its right not to allow the Card-member to transfer such mileage back to be the SCB Rewards Point in any respect.
      3. 3.3.3 Mileage redemption shall be in compliance with the terms and conditions of The Frequent Flyer Program.
  4. Delivery of SCB Rewards Program’s Merchandise
    1. 4.1 The Service Provider shall be sending all merchandise to the Card-member pursuant to the address where the statement is delivered.
    2. 4.2 The Service provider shall deliver SCB Rewards merchandise to the Card-member within 2-4 weeks commencing from the date on which the Bank is in receipt of complete information of such redemption order except in case of such redeemed merchandise is out of stock, or in the manufacturing process, the Service Provider is entitled to deliver the merchandise later than the period specified above.
    3. 4.3 It is required that the Card-member has to examine or check the redeemed merchandise as to its defect or damage prior to the Card-members placing its signature on the receipt. The Bank reserves the right to refuse exchange, return or refund on any merchandise of which the receipt has been signed by the Card-member. In case of any defect or damage or mistake of the merchandise, the Card-member must contact the Service Provider directly.
    4. 4.4 Should there be any warranty card in respect of the merchandise relating to quality of goods or services provided by its Service Provider, all terms and conditions in respect of such warranty shall be in accordance with those contained therein.
  5. Others Terms and Conditions
    1. 5.1 Should there be any shortage or version change of any of the merchandise, the Bank reserves its right to replace such merchandise with other merchandise having similar quality and price, or cancel such kind merchandise prior the end of this catalog program.
    2. 5.2 The Bank reserves its right to make any amendment and/or detail and/or terms and conditions for SCB Rewards Program specified in the catalog as the Bank may deem appropriate.
    3. 5.3 The Bank reserves its rights to amend, temporary cease or terminate this SCB Rewards Program at anytime by giving an advance written notice to the Card-member pursuant to the methods as the Bank may deem appropriate.
    4. 5.4 It is acknowledged by the Card-member that the Bank is merely a procurer of the merchandises for a promotion of this SCB Rewards Program only. The Bank does not take any part in manufacturing and/or distributing and/or delivery and/or providing services in respect of the list of merchandise contained in the catalog in any respect.
    5. 5.5 The Bank shall have exclusive right to make any necessary amendment and/or modification to the terms and conditions for redemption under this SCB Rewards Program as the Bank may deem appropriate.
    6. 5.6 The value of each merchandise and the amount of additional payment required as shown in this catalog are inclusive of value added tax.
    7. 5.7 The Bank reserves the right to award the Rewards Point not more than the credit line the Card-member using in each billing cycle as specified by the Bank under the terms and conditions of using Credit Card.
