Terms and Conditions of SCB Rewards Program
  1. Definitions
    1. 1.1 “Bank” means The Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited
    2. 1.2 “Card-member” means a member of any credit card issued by the Bank except for a member of SCB Family Plus Credit Card, SCB PRIVATE BANKING CARD and a member of any other Credit Cards as prescribed by the Bank.
    3. 1.3 “Credit Cards” means all types of credit card issued by the Bank except for SCB Family Plus Credit Card, SCB PRIVATE BANKING CARD and any other Credit Cards as prescribed by the Bank.
    4. 1.4 “Service Provider” means a manufacturer and/or distributor and/or the product owner and/or the places at which the services are provided, all of which directly related to the rewards specified in the catalog pursuant to SCB Rewards Program and the Card-member shall be entitled to such rewards in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the Bank.
  2. Calculation Method and Points Accumulation
    1. 2.1 For every Baht 20 payment through the use of a Credit Card will receive 1 point of SCB Rewards, except the SCB Platinum Credit Card will receive 2 points of SCB Rewards (from 1 normal point).
    2. 2.2 The Card-member will receive points of SCB Rewards automatically through domestic and/or overseas use of Credit Card for payments for goods and/or services. The Card-member will not receive points of SCB Rewards in the case of cash advance and Call for Dee Jung, Dee Jung Transfer, utility (electric, water) cash advance fee, purchase of funds, use of Credit Card in the manner of trade/business purpose, transfer of money into Credit Card account which results in increasing credit line amount so that such credit line amount exceeds the credit line amount as prescribed by the Bank, other fees, penalty fee, interest and any of additional payment in accordance with Clause 3.1.1(2) and any other cases as specified by the Bank on a case by case basis.
    3. 2.3 The Card-member who will receive points of SCB Rewards must be a Card-member whose status, at the time the accumulated points of SCB Reward is obtained, remains valid and normal with a good payment record and without defaulting in payment pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Bank and without breach and/or violation of any regulation and/or condition for being the Card-member. In this regard, the Bank shall have the right to claim the accumulated points of SCB Rewards back if it is found later that the qualification of the Card-member is not correct.
    4. 2.4 The point accumulation under SCB Rewards Program will be valid until 31 December 2016, however, in the even that Bank needs to change the validity of the point accumulation, Bank shall inform the Card-member in advance as the Bank may deem appropriate.
    5. 2.5 The Bank will calculate the Card-member’s points of SCB Rewards obtained in each month in accordance with the total amount of payments for which each of the Credit Cards is charged in respect of each of such items and pursuant to each period the statements of use of the Credit Card is issued to the Card-member.
    6. 2.6 The Card-member will be informed its monthly points of SCB Rewards obtained as shown in each of the statements of use of the Credit Card and such points earning also be available through telephone call at SCB Easy Call Center, number 02-777-7777 press 3 for Credit Card Services and press 7 for SCB Platinum Credit Card.
  3. Redemption for SCB Rewards Merchandise
    1. 3.1 Terms and Conditions for General Merchandise Redemption:
      1. 3.1.1 The Card-member can redeem its SCB Rewards points for merchandise by either of 2 options:
        1. (1) Redemption for merchandise by using the accumulated points of SCB Rewards solely; or
        2. (2) Redemption for merchandise by using parts of accumulated points of SCB Rewards together with making additional payment for the balance required for such Merchandise; and, will inform the additional payment amount charged to the Card-member by notifying in the statement. However, the Bank reserves its right not to accumulate the points from this additional payment.
      2. 3.1.2 The Card-member, both kinds of primary and supplementary are entitled to redeem for the merchandise pursuant to the SCB Rewards Program by using the points of SCB Rewards in its own Credit Card except for the Card-member of the primary Credit Card which can use the points of SCB Rewards in any of supplementary Credit Card under its own primary Credit Card. In this regard, the combination of the points of primary Credit Card and/or supplementary Credit Card shall be in accordance with the conditions specified in Clause 3.1.5.
      3. 3.1.3 The Bank reserves its rights to accept the redemption made by the Card-member whose status, as of the redemption date, remains valid without overdue of the payment of the outstanding balance. Should the Credit Card have been refused to be renewed/ there be no existence of the Credit Card but the points of such Credit Card still remain, the Bank reserves its rights not to allow the merchandise redemption in any event or for whatever reasons.
      4. 3.1.4 To redeem points of SCB Rewards for merchandise (other than mileage redemption under Royal Orchid Plus Program), the Card-member may choose one of the following 5 (five) options:
        1. 3.1.4.1 Complete the merchandise redemption form as provided in the catalog and return such completed form to the Bank by mail with return receipt.
        2. 3.1.4.2 Complete the merchandise redemption form as provided in the catalog and return such completed form to the Bank by fax number 02-777-6813.
        3. 3.1.4.3 Redeem through the Bank’s customer service officer contact number 02-777-7777.
        4. 3.1.4.4 Redeem through the Bank’s automatic answering machine contact number 02-777-7777 and follow the instructions automatically given during 24 hours a day, everyday.
        5. 3.1.4.5 Redeem through SCB Easy Net on-line.
        6.         In this connection, the merchandise redemption form will be deemed duly sent and valid only in the event that the Bank is in receipt of accurate and complete information and the Bank agrees on such redemption. In case of the redemption through the Bank’s automatic answering machine in accordance with Clause 3.1.4.4 above, the Card member shall not be entitled to change or cancel such redemption after the redemption order is completely given via the system.
      5. 3.1.5 A combination of SCB Rewards points among Credit Cards for redemption of merchandise:
        1. 3.1.5.1 Combination between the primary Credit Card and supplementary Credit Card; this is allowed only for a Card-member holding the primary Credit Card to be entitled to redeem points of SCB Rewards for merchandise pursuant to the SCB Rewards Program; however, points from supplementary Credit Card may be combined with those of the primary Credit Card for redemption purpose.
        2. 3.1.5.2 Combination among several primary Credit Cards; the Card members holding several primary Credit Cards up to 3 Credit Cards for redemption purpose. The Card-member who owns of such 3 Credit Cards must also have the same surname. In addition, a Card-member holding more than one primary Credit Card may combine points of SCB Rewards earned from those primary Credit Cards for redemption purpose as well.
        3.         The combination of SCB Rewards points among the above-mentioned Credit Cards must be subject to the manner and condition of each of Credit Cards that whether the points of SCB Rewards are allowed to be combined with those of the Credit Cards, or not.
      6. 3.1.6 The Bank reserves its right to refuse any request for change of merchandise reward and/or any statements selected and specified by the Card-member in the merchandise redemption form or such merchandise redemption selected by the Card-member in accordance with Clause 3.1.4 (as the case may be) after such merchandise redemption form is in receipt by the Bank.
      7. 3.1.7 The Bank reserves its right to cancel any merchandise redemption selected by the Card-member pursuant to the merchandise redemption form or the redemption under Clause 3.1.4 (as the case may be).
      8. 3.1.8 Should there be any Card-member wishing to redeem for merchandise prior to a cancellation or termination of the relevant Credit Card, such Card-member must express its intention to redeem to the Bank at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date of such Credit Card. In such event, the Card-member’s right of redemption shall be limited to the option under Clause 3.1.1(1) only.
      9. 3.1.9 SCB Rewards points may not be changed and/or exchanged for cash and/or transferred and/or assigned to any other Card-member.
      10. 3.1.10 To redeem for the annual fee of any type of a Credit Card, the merchandise redemption form must be sent to the Bank or the redemption right must be exercised in accordance with Clause 3.1.4 (as the case may be) at least 1 month prior to the date on which the relevant annual fee is due for payment, so that the points of SCB Rewards may then be used as such annual fee payment.
      11. 3.1.11 To redeem for the air-ticket, package tours, hotel vouchers and the mileage exchange under Royal Orchid Plus Program, the Card-members must comply with the terms and conditions specifically prescribed by the Bank for redemption of such types of rewards in addition to the general terms and conditions for general redemption.
    2. 3.2 Terms and Conditions of Redemption for the air-ticket, package tours, and hotel vouchers in addition to those specified in Clause 3.1 above are as follows.
      1. 3.2.1 The Card-members itself must contact the relevant Service Provider directly for reservation in advance prior to delivery of the merchandise redemption form to the Bank or prior to proceed the redemption. However, any rewards of the air-ticket, package tours and hotel vouchers, which is redeemed under the SCB Rewards Program shall be not included any travel insurances, airport taxes, fuel costs and any fees and any costs and any expenses or the fee applieds for visa and/or passport.
      2. 3.2.2 All information in details in respect of air-ticket, package tours and hotel vouchers under the SCB Rewards Program must be inquired and verified directly with the Service Providers by the Card-member solely according to the list of such Service Providers specified in the catalog. In addition, the Card-member is also required to comply with any terms and conditions set forth by the relevant Service Providers.
      3. 3.2.3 With regard to any of air-ticket, package tours and hotel vouchers rewards, the Card-members shall exercise its right with the Service Provider only.
      4. 3.2.4 With regard to any of the air-ticket rewards, the Card-member must request for an issuance of the relevant air-ticket within the 31 December 2014 and the round trip of such air-ticket shall be used within such period.
      5. 3.2.5 The Bank reserves its right to refuse for any refund for any SCB Rewards points and/or of any monetary payment to the Card-member in the event where a Card-member cancels the flight after the air-ticket or package tour or hotel voucher has been issued in accordance with the request of such Card-member.
    3. 3.3 Terms and Conditions for Mileage Exchange under the Royal Orchid Plus (“ROP”) Program
      1. 3.3.1 The Card-member has to apply for a member of the Royal Orchid Plus Program prior to proceed the mileage exchange reward with SCB Rewards Program
      2. 3.3.2 Once the SCB Rewards points have been exchanged to miles under the ROP Program completely, the Bank reserves its right not to allow the Card-member to transfer back such changed miles to be the SCB Rewards points in any event or for any reason.
      3. 3.3.3 Mileage Exchanging shall be complied with the terms and conditions of Mileage Exchanging under the Royal Orchid Plus Program.
  4. Delivery of SCB Rewards Program’s Merchandise
    1. 4.1 The Service Provider shall be sending all merchandise rewards to each of Card-member at its address as per to the following conditions:
      1. (1) In the event that the SCB Rewards merchandise is redeemed pursuant to Clauses 3.1.4.1 or 3.4.1.2, the merchandise will be delivered to the address specified in the merchandise redemption form; or, to the address to which the statement is delivered if no specific delivery address is specified.
      2. (2) In the event that the SCB Rewards merchandise is redeemed pursuant to Clauses 3.1.4.3, the merchandise will be delivered to the address informed by the Card-member to the Bank’s customer service officer during the process of redemption
      3. (3) In the event that the SCB Rewards merchandise is redeemed pursuant to Clauses 3.1.4.4, the merchandise will be delivered to the address where the statement is delivered. In the event that the Card-member wishes to have such merchandise delivered to a different address, the Card-member must inform the delivery address to the customer service officer via telephone call number 02-777-7777 prior to the relevant redemption.
      4. (4) In the event that the SCB Rewards merchandise is redeemed pursuant to Clauses 3.1.4.5, the merchandise will be delivered to the address where the statement is delivered.
      5.        It is agreed that the delivery of SCB Rewards merchandise to the Card-member at its designated address in accordance with the procedure specified above, is a successfully deliver. The Service Provider shall not charge any additional fee for a domestic delivery.
    2. 4.2 SCB Rewards merchandise will be delivered to the Card-member within 2-4 weeks commencing from the date on which the Bank is in receipt of information of such redemption order except in case of such redeemed merchandise is out of stock, or in the manufacturing process, the delivery shall take longer period.
    3. 4.3 It is required that the Card-member have to examine or check the redeemed merchandise as to its defect or damage prior to the Card-member’s placing its signature on the receipt. In any event, any merchandise the receipt of which has been signed by the Card-member shall not be exchange with, returned to, or refund to the Bank; and, the Card-member must contact the Service Provider directly in respect of any defect or damage of the delivered merchandise.
    4. 4.4 Should there be any warranty card contained in the merchandise package in respect of quality of goods or services provided by its service provider, all terms and conditions in respect of such warranty shall be in accordance with those contained therein.
  5. Others
    1. 5.1 Should there be any shortage or version change of any of the merchandise, the Bank reserves its right to replace such merchandise with other merchandise having similar quality and price, or cancel such kind merchandise prior the end of this catalog program.
    2. 5.2 The Bank reserves its right to make any amendment and/or detail and/or terms and conditions for SCB Rewards program specified in the catalog as the Bank may deem appropriate.
    3. 5.3 The bank also reserves all of its rights to amend, temporary cease or terminate this SCB Rewards Program at anytime simply by giving an advance written notice to the Card-member as the Bank may deem appropriate.
    4. 5.4 It is acknowledged and accepted by the Card-member that the Bank is merely a procurer of the merchandises for a promotion of this SCB Rewards program only. The Bank does not take any part in manufacturing and/or distributing and/or delivery and/or providing services in respect of the list of merchandise contained in the catalog.
    5. 5.5 The Bank Shall have exclusive right to make any necessary amendment and/or modification to the terms and conditions for redemption under this SCB Rewards Program as the Bank may deem appropriate.
    6. 5.6 The value of each merchandise and the amount of additional payment for the balance required shown in this catalog are inclusive of value added tax.
    7. 5.7 The Bank reserves the right to award the reward points not more than the credit line the Card-member using in each billing cycle the Bank specified under the terms and conditions of using Credit Cards.
